Roland J. Santiago is a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator and arbitrator, author and attorney. Having been born in Puerto Rico and raised in Honduras, Rolando is technically and proficiently fluent in Spanish. He focuses his practice in real estate transactions, land use, CDD and HOA matters, mediation & arbitration and government relations.
In 2003 Attorney Santiago joined the the City of Tampa legal department Land Use Section as an Assistant City Attorney, where he also served as counsel to various boards and commissions. Attorney Santiago continues to serve as a Special Assistant City Attorney for Tampa on a variety of projects involving land use, affordable housing and public works. Prior to joining the City of Tampa Attorney Santiago was based in Mexico City, D.F. for a number of years where he served as Legal Director of the international division of Boston based American Tower Corporation (New York Stock Exchange AMT), a leading telecommunications and infrastructure company in North America and South America. At AMT he lead a 10 member in-house corporate legal team that focused on asset management ($200 million in assets), acquisitions and general corporate matters. Previous to AMT, Attorney Santiago practiced at the City Prosecutors Office in Spokane, Washington.
